Many organisations, large and small, across the UK are planning an incredible variety of events to celebrate the life and legacy of Charles Darwin.
From conferences and exhibitions to graphic novels and dramatic performances, there is something for everyone from scientists to young children.

An Advocacy Panel has been set up to promote Darwin200 to key stakeholders.
50 knitters will create a knitted art installation called Darwin’s leftovers. It will be an imaginary bric-a-brac stall in which the great man has had a clear out of his study. Funded by the National Lottery, the installation is already booked to appear at Edinburgh Festival, Cambridge Festival, and Bromley in connection with Downe House.
