Many organisations, large and small, across the UK are planning an incredible variety of events to celebrate the life and legacy of Charles Darwin.
From conferences and exhibitions to graphic novels and dramatic performances, there is something for everyone from scientists to young children.

An Advocacy Panel has been set up to promote Darwin200 to key stakeholders.
The Manchester Museum will be exploring Darwinian ideas and their impact during 2008-9. The programme will involve an exhibition in 2009, and recreational and educational events for adults and families together with learning programmes for schools. These will draw on the museum's history as a civic evolutionary museum, on its collection (which includes objects collected by Darwin himself) and on its location within a leading university.
