Many organisations, large and small, across the UK are planning an incredible variety of events to celebrate the life and legacy of Charles Darwin.
From conferences and exhibitions to graphic novels and dramatic performances, there is something for everyone from scientists to young children.

An Advocacy Panel has been set up to promote Darwin200 to key stakeholders.
Dr Andrew Patrizio (Edinburgh College of Art) and Prof Emilios Christodoulidis (Professor of Legal Theory at Glasgow University) are leading a research project on Darwin and contemporary art practice, with the Natural History Museum as a partner. The Species of Origin project is funded by the Art and Humanities Research Council. The project will invite interdisciplinary speculation around arts, natural science, philosophy and ethics, through workshops, reading groups, and the creation of a creative resource for artists.
